Hello! I’m Stephanie, AHPRA-endorsed Educational and Developmental Psychologist and Board-Approved Supervisor. I have over a decade of experience supporting children, adolescents, and their families. Before I began working as a psychologist, I was a secondary school teacher and have held a range of roles across educational and clinical settings, including primary and secondary school teacher; year-level coordinator; school psychologist; and clinician in both group and solo private practice. I bring my many experiences and insights to my current role.
I am truly passionate about supporting young people and take great joy in helping them to uncover, understand, and build upon their personal strengths. As part of this, I value collaboration and strong partnerships with families, schools and other professionals.
The diverse nature of psychological work has always energised me. My areas of interest include (but are not limited to!) the comprehensive assessment of neurodevelopmental differences; therapeutic support for children and young adults; and caregiver empowerment.
Across all of the services I offer, I am committed to providing neuro-affirming and inclusive care and I pride myself on being an ethical, thoughtful, and enthusiastic practitioner. One of my favourite things about working as a psychologist is the relational nature of being a helper.
In my practice, I invite you to a warm, curious, and accepting space. My approach is grounded in a person-centred framework, therefore, guided by the unique needs, values, and goals of each client and family.
Modality wise, I use an integrative approach drawing on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and developmental and attachment-informed practices. My lens is also shaped strongly by my years of training and supervision in Educational and Developmental psychology.
Welcome to this space.
I want to share a story with you.
Picture this: I’m sitting cross-legged on the library floor at my primary school. I’m in about Grade 3 and I’ve been asked to write down what I want to be when I grow up. I’m stuck, and it’s not because I don’t know the answer, but because I can’t spell it! I give it my best shot anyway:
“S-I-C-O-L-O-G-I-S-T.”
At this young age, I knew exactly what I wanted to be—a psychologist. As I understood it then, it simply meant to be a helper, and I was proud of it. That early understanding has stayed with me . Today, in every part of my work, whether I'm supporting a young person in therapy, guiding a family through an assessment process, or working alongside parents and educators, I still see my role through that very same lens.
